These wool cutting pads are specifically designed for the crucial first stage of paint correction: removing severe defects with maximum efficiency. The dense fiber structure makes these heavy-cutting pads more effective than foam or microfiber alternatives. They deliver fast, visible results and are perfect for intensive correction work. The open wool structure prevents excessive heat build-up; the fibers help regulate temperature and provide controlled performance, even during prolonged use.

Naturally, these pads fit perfectly on VONROC polishers with a Ø125mm backing plate, but their universal design also makes them compatible with other polishers that use hook-and-loop attachment in the same diameter.

Tips for Optimal Use

For best results with wool cutting pads, start at a low to medium speed and gradually increase if needed. Work in small sections of about 30 to 40 cm to maintain full control and ensure an even finish. Keep the pad clean during use by brushing it out or using compressed air—clean pads always perform better. After using a wool pad, we recommend following up with a softer pad to refine the finish and achieve maximum gloss.

Before starting, always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. Every surface reacts differently, so try the process on a less visible section before treating the entire area. Happy with the result? Then you’re good to go.

The end result strongly depends on the polish or compound used in combination with these pads. Make sure to research the surface type and match your product choice accordingly. Avoid using too much polish: an oversaturated pad is less effective, dissipates heat poorly, and may cause the hook-and-loop backing to detach. Is your pad oversaturated? No problem, simply rinse it with lukewarm water and mild soap. Let it dry completely, and it’ll be ready to use again.
